Which keyboard you using for gaming?

g15 :D

The keys are nice, just the right angle. Has the cool LCD which is really handy and you can write programs for. My fav feature is the USB hub in the keyboard so when you goto LANS dont have to worry about things getting all tangled up.

Only thing bad is the fact thats it s a good 3 inches wider (does fit into my lanbag :( but i just lace the strap to my lan bag through the holes at the top of the keyboard and it works great :D

G15 has replaced my beloved MS internet keyboard PRO (non-natural one) as the best keyboard EVAR!

Same, 3 settings if you count "off". The blue glow on mine is great for gaming in the dark and still looks good in the day. The keyboard also feels a bit slimmer and less slanted than the dell keyboard on my old pc. I think that this keyboard would be less of an adjustment coming from a laptop. Also the keyboard matrix is not bad on this board, I can sprint duck-jump again.

Same keyboard blue backlit goes well with my Neon blue copperhead, the etched keys are very nice, I'm kind to my keyboards (don't hit them or spill anything in them) so what finally makes me want to replace them is the key letters wearing off, not a problem in this case.

However there is 1 conflict I noticed, I can't hold up arrow, left arrow, and alt at the same time, combination used for boost and left turn while racing in NFSMW, changed it to shift and it was fine.

Déck The Legend (Ice). Stupidly expensive, but absolutely awesome! It is by far the best keyboard that I have ever used, and I have owned both the Saitek Gamers and Eclipse keyboards!

Razer Tarrancuala

I just ordered one of these to replace my G15... I just never really got that happy about the G15.. it's ok, but for one, I don't much care for the look of it.. the rubberized edges.. not my style really.. anyways.. I think the razer look really slick.. I have high hopes it will fulfill my gaming and esthetic needs. :)

im using a mid 1990s maiden of china keyboard "SeJin Electronic". It has pizza sauce spilt down the keys, along with blobs of jelly and peanut butter.

A real gaming keyboard might be nice, but the way I treat mine... Im better off with used crappers

I have a First-Generation Saitek Eclipse, and I love it. I've had it for a bit over a year (got it last Christmas) and it still works fine. My S key is a bit scratched off, the light is a little faded, and the space bar is a little bit wobbly, but I can deal with all three of those things. I don't plan to replace it until I build my next rig (summer or fall of this year); by then I'll be looking into an Eclipse II or a Tarantula (or whatever else comes along this year).

Merc gaming keyboard.
i love it.
i've never been a fan of the cramped WASD keys on keyboards.
this keyboard solves that ergonomic issue for me.

Apple Pro!!!

I love both my Apple Pro keyboards. I couldn't wait to get rid of the DiNovo junk I had prior to that. God that keyboard was expensive and felt like typing in glue.

Had the first Saitek Eclipse and now have a Saitek Eclipse 2. I love the feeling of the keys on these keyboards.

+1 for teh G15 here. Took me a while to sort out the LCD apps I wanted but now I couldnt live without it.

I use the "Microsoft Keyboard with Fingerprint reader" but I'm hoping to get a Phantom Labs Lapboard so I can sit further back from the monitor.

I also have a DiNovo RF and I think it sux as well. The keys are just horrible they are like laptop keys. Anyone who wants something like the DiNovo should get the S510 instead, its pretty slim and wireless too but it has regular keys not laptop keys.

I am using an old school black elite keyboard. It is also time for a replacement but I am not sure which one I would want. I was thinking of the G15 but not really liking the bulkiness. Also, it seems to click pretty hard. I like the feel of a laptop keypad, the soft feeling is nice, hehe.

I use a black Dell keyboard modded with blue LEDs I got from Directron about 3 years ago. I love it.:D

Microsoft Natural, can't stand the keys so close together anymore on regular keyboards.

I got my Razer Tarantula yestersday and /love/ it. Very slick looking, great features, great feel while gaming.. two things, I wish I could make the synapse/razer logo stay lit on all the time rather than slowly pulsing... and the shiny plastic edges pick up finger prints like crazy.. anyways, little things.. One other thing, which I didn't realize until I got it, was that most of the keys are not backlit... which was a little bit of a bummer, but honestly, I can see the keys just fine even in low lighting, so I have all but forgotten that.. but it was a small shock when I got it. The short key sweep and nice layout are very nice. and I like having a normal sized kb (width) again. yay!

Does anyone know if its possible to press more than 3 keys on the Logitech UltraX(i've had it for a couple years, so it may be possible there is a revision)?
I currently have this keyboard and its kind of a pain in the ass not to be able to hit more than 3 keys

What about the rosewill RK-600? which appears to just be a rebranded UltraX

If neither of these support more than 3 keys i'll probable end up buying the Saitek Eclipse 2

I currently have one of those logitech slim keyboards they were selling on newegg for awhile that were nice and cheap.. It's starting to exhibit wear and tear and I'm looking for a new keyboard..

That logitech G15 looks pretty cool but I'm unsure how I'm going to like it after using a slim keyboard for so long and getting used to the shallow key presses.. Anyone have any experience like this?

Thanks

just a regular $10 keyboard. Having a $100 keyboard is not going to make you a better player.

NMB Technologies KB. It's big, black and heavy. And they stopped producing them 4 years ago. It takes a beating like no other KB out there. I have one at work too, and I'm taking it with me if I move to another dept.

Here's the link: http://www.nmbtech.com/products/kbrds/rt2300w.html

And I am willing to bet that this KB can be used to smash other keyboards.

NMB is awesome, but uhhg I hate membrane, I have an NMB with mech "clicky" type keys and they are awesome. toughest keyboard ever.

at home I use a G15, which is great for WoW.

I have an ultraX and I can hit more than 3 at once. I've had it over a year :/

prtzlboy, do you have any drivers installed?
If so, SetPoint or iTouch?

In BF2 i can't hit more than 3 on this board, but then again i haven't installed drivers.

I absolutely hate when people say this. That isn't the only reason for getting a better keyboard. You can be happy with your 10 dollar el-cheapo and I will enjoy my money well spent on my Tarantula. I don't need it to play better, but it adds features that are useful and looks good in the process.

It's like saying - Don't buy a 8800GTX, you can play most games fine with a ATI 9800!

I have a tarantula and I'm a big fan. Frankly just the feel of the keyboard is my favorite part. I got it in a 8 hr sale advertised on [H] from Clubit so it wasn't near $100 (can't remember but maybe around $70?).Thing I didn't realize is macros can only be 8 keystrokes, so kinda useless for CS:S buys but I guess that's what a .cfg is for anyways. Overall love the profile, media keys, and macro ability. Top notch stuff.

In the den the Eclipse with the blue light works wonderfully for immersive gaming and you dont-kill-yourself-with-grenade-in-small-room-because-you-cant-see-keyboard. On the monstertainment system I just picked up a Logitech MX 3200 combo and could not be happier, including games. I was having terrible mouse skip and random button 0 activations with my old mouse. (Slightly older Logitech wireless laser) I was worried it was a driver or windows issue or worse yet some radio interference. I mean it was to the point I wouldn't play Oblvion because it ruined immersion so much. In any case no problems since the MX 3200.

I haven't installed drivers for anything. Just plugged it in and everything worked. What does yours say on the bottom? Does it say "ultraflat"? I just turned mine over and I noticed that I didn't see UltraX anywhere on it, though I know when I ordered it that it was called the UltraX on newegg.

I just want to make sure I'm not misleading you by talking about a different keyboard.
