which is the correct temp for the cpu?

i have abit ip35-e and e4300. the bios temp on the cpu is almost to 90C .


i am wondering which is correct temp for the cpu. (coretemp or the bios temp)

bios temp is 90C and the coretemp is 67-70C
 
That seems rather odd to me.. we generally use the core temperature (Tjunction), while the CPU temperature (Tcase) is theoretically the temperature at the middle of the integrated heat spreader, but you don't actually have a sensor there so it's an estimate. In my experience the Tcase is usually lower than the core temperatures though - 90C for it would seem very high indeed, and over the CPU's thermal specification if true. Hopefully it's not.
 
Make sure your HSF is seated properly. What's your ambient temp?
