I am planning a new rig and was wondering which of these would be more future proof.

Athlon 64 3000+ S939
A8V Deluxe
Radeon 9600XT
1GB PC3200

ABit AG8
Intel Prescott P4 3.0GHz
1GB PC3200
Geforce 6600GT

i read somewhere that nvidia just started making agp 6600GT.....oh well

I just saw that too. I was reading up on nForce 4 and may just wait for that, though I'd also like DDR2 which AMD hasnt attached itself to yet.

For something "future proof" definetely go with nforce4 SLI.

Also happens to be out of budget, given the setups that were suggested.
