Here is my system specs:
MSI 915P Neo2 Platinum (MS-7028)
P4 LGA775 2.8Ghz @ 3.2Ghz
512MBx2 PC-4200 Kingston ValueRAM
ATI X300 <== Sucks but I don't game that much on PC.
2x36GB WD Raptors RAID-0
I would not consider this a "slow" system. Upgrading ram to a faster timing of more ram will probably not help too much. So what else to upgrade that will make my computer feel a lot faster? Not spending more then $1000. When I say "feel", I mean things like application loading times, compression times, moving files around, and general usage in Windows.
I was thinking about getting a solid state HD. When I switched from a single 7200rpm HD to 2 raptors I could really feel the difference, so I think maybe if I use soild state HD's I will feel another difference.(I really don't want to consider any more drives in my RAID setup or using SCSI)
