The 8800 GT is definitely the superior card there. It keeps up with the 4850 in many titles which is a good bit faster than the 3870. The 4870 is obviously faster than the 8800 GT, but that's pitting a $100 card against a $250-300 card, so to be expected.

Why was this poll created? Reading some benches and the [H] reviews of the respective cards would've taken you all of 15 minutes, and been a lot more conclusive than a bunch of people clicking radio buttons.

nah, the 3870 is much faster to be obsolete than the 8800gt. i would be faster to sell my 3870 than my 8800gt. actually, the price on the 3870 dropped faster than the 8800gt.

3870 has some AA bugs, 8800GT is faster in all games at the cost of inferior IQ.
But some bullshiter said 88000GT can keep up with 4850 in "many titles". That is some fanboy hallucination.

How about you skipping your own BS and misinformation (as in the 8800GT keeping up with the 4850, in general) and posting the benches yourself to prove your own point.

I agree with you, there is no way its comes close to being as good as the 4850
