Which IEMs to purchase?

Hey, I ended up going with the Sennheiser 555s (which I'll order on my b-day next month) instead of the 595s to save $69. With that money building up, i'm planning to purchase IEMs for my mp3 player on the road trips. I listen to rock/hip-hop/metal, and I really want amazing IEMs for ~$100. Can you sugg. any? I was thinking the ER-6i, but people said they lack bass, but make it up in detail. The Shure e2cs are said to have bass, yet lack detail. Thanks in advance.
 
I've never heard the e2cs, but I do own the ER-6i's and can tell you that they do not lack any bass. Anybody who claims they lack bass is not wearing them properly. However, if you're expecting bass that overpowers everything else and makes your head vibrate like you might get from a $20 pair of crappy headphones, then you will be sorely disappointed. You won't be able to find IEM's that sound like that.
