sorry, i'm sure this has been answered a million times, but i was just wondering what kind of heatsink fan goes best with the 2500+ processor? i have been trying to figure out if i should go with the vantec aeroflow's or a thermaltake volcano? if the volcano which one is best? i want one that's below 30$ and is good at cooling, but not TOO loud. i can deal with some loudness to an extent, but keep in mind, my parents are sleeping like 20 feet away....

Get the biggest thermalright you can fit. SLK-800 or 900.

edit: oh yeah the $30 limit. Ah... pretty close look around. Only thing is I want to suggest a fan with speed control to. Think you'd want 50cfm at least for full speed. Then it will go doen pretty quiet too.

i have an aero7+ hsf and not too loud providing you dont go higher than 2800rpm. I run at 3000+ speed at 45c idle and it was about £25 if i remember.

which mobo do you have?
if you can, get the Zalman CNPS 7000A-AlCu, it can be found for $30 or so

Thermalright SP97 and a decent fan> probably the best AMD air cooler you can get
