noobie here just trying to find some info on a fan for my northwood 3.2 i got it overclocked to a 3.7 and it runs a little warm so zipzoom owes me about 40 bucks so i am trying to pick out a fan from what they have to choose from.my motherboard is asus p4s800 anyone got any ideas i like the zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU LED CPU but not sure if it will fit it looks big.any help would be great.

That is if it fits your board, of course I haven't seen too much that it doesn't fit.
 
that would be great if zipzoom offered it,i guess i can take a 15.00 dollar loss and order from someone else

I just bought a Zalman All Copper 7000 series for my Athlon 64, the sucker idles at 28 C.

I am very impressed.

zalman is the one that i want but does anyone if there is a problem with the board that i have.its not listed on the site that it would work but there is not very many that is listed there. :confused:
 
I made the Zalman one fit on my board, I had to modify the chipset heatsink/fan though. It's great for the money. I want the GPU counterpart too.

Just look for yourself - you need at least 1.7cm of free space between the top of the motherboard and bottom of the power supply. It is designed to work with the Intel heatsink retention bracket, so you just need to check for clearance.

better performing
can be very quiet and a good overclokcer (vantec stealth)
or loud, and amazing overclocker (delta fan)
also, weighs about half as much as the zalman, so better for your mobo.

thanks everyone still working with the zipzoom people on my return i let you know what i get i like them both so hey i might try both :D
