Which flat panel for flight simming?

OK, the title just about says it all. But what I want to know is which one, 19" or 20", will have the least ammount of screen door effect. I also prefer 1600x1200 (I know, that rules out 19") resolution, but it isn't absolutely necessary. What I'm looking for is quality.

well, i use the 17" 710t, and in fs9, it looks absolutely beautiful, no screendoor, or ghosting, the colors are stunning, everything is super sharp

dunno what the 19" counterpart would be though, sorry

I found the “screen door” effect to be more a function of the monitor then any software. I ran FS on my 2001FP and it was just fine. I’m now running it on a 210T and it too is perfect. The good thing about FS is it’s not as demanding as a high FPS game. I’d say you would be safe with any of the newer better monitors. BTW, it looks great in 1600 X 1200

Well, I have a Dell 2001FP and I notice a lot of texture "crawl" on objects in the distance. Is it screen dor effect or something else??? I don't know at this point.

I have run at 1024x768 all the way up to 1600x1200 and anywhere from 2x AA and 2x AF to the max settings of 6x AA and 16x AF and the textures still crawl and the trees still shimmer. Tried 6x AA and no AF too and it got worse at 1600x1200. Also, the trees in BF Vietnam shimmer. Played BFV on my son's PC (9700 Pro, 1024x768, 2x AA only, Phillips 16ms 17" LCD) and it looks fine. My relevant machine specs are listed below.

Abit IC7 Max3, P4 2.8c @ 3.61ghz
1gb Geil PC4400 @ 1:1
Radeon 9800 Pro @ 405core/344mem

Any suggestions to get rid of problems? Oh, and more monitor suggestions please!
