I just purchased a Nvidia FX 5500 from Chaintech. At first i installed the driver from the CD that came with the card. Things seemed good but a little glitchy at times so I followed the sticky post and downloaded the Driver cleaner program and deleted my driver, ran the program while in safe mode and then installed an updated driver from Chaintech's website. Now i seem to be getting worse performance than before. Same settings on games are now choppy framerates. Here is a link to my card and the driver i currently have:

Im guessing that the driver version 61.72 from 9/7/2004 is an older Forceware driver from Nvidia?
Is the forceware drivers from Nvidia for all their cards? Could i just go to Nvidia's website and get the 7x.xx driver for my card? thanks
EDIT: By the way i did get a warning when i installed this driver that it has not been test to work with windows or something of that nature and Microsoft strongly suggests not installing it. If it is needed i have the FX5500 256MB card.
