Which do you think is best? (PCI-E)

I have been reading the various reviews of X800 GTO cards and have not decided on which is the best if the bunch. Does anyone have answers to why one is better than the other or are they pretty much the same?

Sapphire X800GTO 256mb GDDR3

Connect 3D X800GTO 256MB GDDR3

GeCube Radeon X800 GTO 256MB

PowerColor X800 Bravo Edition 256mb (I think this is a GT)

Please note these are the GTO and NOT GTO2s. I really can't afford more than a GTO.


Also does anyone know how an Asus Extreme AX800/2TD/256 compares to the GTOs? This card is considerably cheaper than the GTOs.
 
Gecube might have a better cooler (uni-wise), they're pretty much identical otherwise.

I have read that the connect 3D can be modded to an X850XT. It seems there has been 5 successful mods and 0 failed.
 
In that case, the Connect3D one may be worth picking over the others. But don't be surprised if you get a dud.

Dunno where you read that.

AFAIK, only two types of cards can be modded - certain X800 VIVO cards, and Sapphires X800GTO2. Only the Sapphire card has a 100% success rate.

Yeah, make sure you aren't confusing the 2, I haven't heard of gto's flashing to 850s.
 
I know you said you can't afford the GTO2 but it might be better to wait until you can because you'll get a LOT better performance out of an x800GTO2-->X850XT PE.
