Im about to watercool my rig , im just not decided on the CPU block yet .
Which one is better to cool an AMD X2 4200 (s939) ?
1 - ZALMAN ZM - WB4
2 - Swiftech APOGEE
3 - Dangerden Copper TDX

Apogee or TDX. The TDX may be a tad better if you pop the IHS off your cpu. If you're leaving it on, you're not likely to see any difference.

TDX, Apogee... ... ... ... Zalman

In that order IMO

Apogee could be better for CPUs with larger dice.

The Apogee seems to be the most universal of all 3 but also the most ugly.
The TDX sure looks better but only comes with one holddown plate , so with future changes i would have to buy another block i guess .
About the zalman , a golden block looks quite cool but without replaceable barbs doesnt sound to good.
I guess i go for the Apogee then , seems to be the best choice for the money .

Danger Den sells hold-down plates seperately.

After some thinking i guess i go for the Apogee , planed on using the MCW 60 for my videocard ,so it would match .
Together with Swiftech micro res, some Clearflex tubing , MCP 350 pump and one swiftech MCR 80 and one MCR 120 rad .
About $ 230 (incl shipping) all together.
Still thinking about adding a Petras pump top .
Some clamps from homedepot .
I guess that should do to keep my rig quiet at a decent temp .

Well, it's a decent start. The lack of a dual 120mm rad limits your future GPU possibilities... Your current card is fine, but not much after that.

I try to fit everything inside my QPack without having to do some mayor mod (cutting case into pieces and so on ) . So the 120 rad would go in the back before the fan and the 80 rad would go in front of the mobo with the pump . Cant fit an 120 rad there ,thats why only 80 mm .
Was thinking about an BI dual 80 rad but its to thick with the fans on .
I guess CPU and GPU dont produce more than 200 W of heat together (tell me if im wrong ), so it should actually do for some time .
As for upgrading my card , not before the nvidia 9 series comes out and the 8800 GTX gets cheap. :D
