I do a lot of multitasking ....browsing the web while burning stuff and running multiple programs at once....as well as gaming on my current rig

right now i have the amd bundle that was previously in the hot deals section which was the
amd64 3200 and the asus a8n-e board. when i burn dvds and try to browse the web....it just slows down dramatically. i wouldnt even consider trying to burn a dvd while playing games...so i was considering the new intel retail deal in the hot deals forum which is ..

1. Intel® Pentium® D 820 processor
2. Intel® Desktop Board D945PSN

since i do both games and multitasking....which do you think would be a better set up for me? would the dual core intel run games well?
