Which case?

Hello, everyone.
I've been reading this forum for a while now so i thought it was time i registered.
However, i have somewhat of a dilema. Soon i will be building, or rather getting Komplett to do it for me, a custom computer for extreme gaming, but i am indecisive as to which case to use.
Here are the options:

- Thermaltake Kandalf
- Thermaltake Tsunami
- Thermaltake Armour
- Thermaltake Soprano
- Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570
- Antec Performance One P180
- Cooler Master Stacker STC-T01 (not the 830 :( )
- Cooler Master Wave Master
- NZXT Lexa
- NZXT Zero
- XION II

Sorry for the lack of good cases (i.e. Antec 900, Stacker 830 etc.) but this is all i have to chose from, plus a few others i deemed poor.

Basically the case needs exceptional cooling, i may be doing some light overclocking, and has to fit an 8800 GTX, which i hope should narrow down the choices a bit. I would have done myself but every source i read contradict each other so i am hoping for some advice from you guys (and girls) ;)
Weight or size is not an issue, in fact the bigger and heavier the better and i have no intentions of watercooling. I'll be looking forward to you opinions.

Thank you.

Get the Antec p180!!!

i just got the black version (p180b) for christmas and not only is it awesome looking and sturdy, but its absolutely silent (with zalman fans on northbridge, gfx card, and cpu)

just look at it

I'd take one of the Cooler Masters...probably the Stacker.

STACKERRR .......yep go with that.......if you dont mind having a little noise... this case will keep your comp running cool... i mean there is a bracket for you to mount 4 120mm fans on the side

Damn...

even though that would be pretty noisy... it would suck in soo much air you wouldnt ever need to worry about heat problems

I think you have too many choices =P. Figure out what it is about your choices you like and maybe narrow it down a bit. Someone mentioned the p180. The antec p180 is on sale at bestbuy.com for 79.99 with no shipping/handling cost if youre interested in looking into it.

I don't mean to hijack, but for any other owners of the P180B, does the bottom of the front door, on the hinge, seem flimsy to anyone?

Oh yeah, I vote the P180. Very sturdy and great cooling.

Thanks for all the input guys.
I've narrowed it down to the following:

- Thermaltake Kandalf
- Thermaltake Armour
- Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570
- Antec Performance One P180
- Cooler Master Stacker STC-T01
- NZXT Zero
- NZXT Lexa

There's still quite a few, but i'm not sure if they will all fit the 8800 GTX.
How is the cooling in the Aurora, it was my favourite although it seems that the hard drive cage blocks the intake fan. Is the cooling on it still okay?
I'm also tempted to go for the NZXT Zero since there are 4 fans on the side pointed directly at the motherboard, not to mention the others dotted around the case.
P180 and Stacker still seem to be the favourite though, huh?

Does anybody know which of these cases is incompatible with the 8800 GTX? I'm pretty sure they're all okay but some reassurance would be nice. :)

Thanks again.

Either one of these:

Antec Performance One P180
Cooler Master Stacker STC-T01

So both of those will fit the 8800 GTX right?
With the P180, doesn't the the center HDD cage have to be removed in order to fit the huge graphics card?
People rave about how good the P180 but it just seems pretty average to me, how is it that good?

I've read reviews on the p180 and have been convinced to buy it for my next case.

All of the reviews say that it is well built, sturdy, and thought out. The 2 main things this case goes for is lack of volume, and temps... and every review I've read say that it accomplishes it very well. With the separate chambers as a minor hindrance in the cabling process, but once you get past that it's a great idea and it works (if you use it). The nice little touches of the rubber grommets for the hd's and the rubber padding around the psu adding to the lack of decibels make a nice impression as well. The adjustable air duct over the vga card is a good idea too and the reviews say it helps, but I'm still waiting to see it in action to see if I'm really going to use it...

However, like i said, I'm convinced and it's going to be my next case. I am looking for quiet and cool, and that's supposedly what I'll get with the p180.

Just so you know, they removed the VGA duct, cause apparently it was a pain in the ass.

there is a link to all the changes made from the first versions of the case.
Pretty sure I'll be getting this case too. Wasn't planning on spending that much, but it's built to be quiet which is a plus for me. Only con is that it ways like 30+ lbs. lol, oh well.

NZXT Zero. Has tons of features for the money. If you want 7 120mm fans blowing all over in your case, then get the Zero.

I will probably go for the NZXT Zero or Stacker STC-T01 because it needs to be large enough to house an 8800 GTX and lost of fans.

Thanks again. :)
