Just wondering between the Lian Li PCV1200B Plus II case vs the Corsair 800D case. For some reason with the 800D's the video card cooling is poor. I was wondering if the lian li would be any better. Or should I just order the plain side panel of the Lian Li and cut 2 120mm or 1 140mm fan on the side for some better ventilation??

I would say the LL v12000 but I am wvery biased for LL cases.

Although if you already own the 800D do not toss more money down the drain, and just mod it for your video card. I have heard the 800D is better for a water colled case and does not offer that great of air flow for air cooled parts.

I'd get the Lian Li. They have some very nice options for add in cooling, such as card slot fans and the other ones that attach to the interior rear of the case above the daughter boards.

I've only ever owned Lian Li's, so yes, I am biased. ;)

Neither are dual chamber/upside down Lian Li's that great cooling wise.
Only intake fan is for chamber with minority of heat production and upside down design means graphics card is further warmed by other components while there's no good airflow through upper area where heat tends to rise.
Also for the price of mid tower dual chamber you'll get more configurable normal design full tower which doesn't need wasting of three 5.25" bays as intake.

I guess for the Lian Li there is the side 120mm fan where the cards would be in which would help with the heat:

Also do you guys think the power supply slot area is big enough for a corsair 1000w??

I would look at the Silverstone FT02 cases; IMO those have the best cooling yet don't look ugly as hell on the outside. Kind of pricey, but I'd definitely take an FT02BW over a V1200.

I am going to regret selling my V1000 but my hardware just doesn't fit as well in it anymore. (namely the limited space at the bottom for longer psus)
