Which case looks better?

I would look for an Alum case around that price, like an Antec super lanboy. You'll thank me when you have to move it for the first time!

Soprano, but this is a subjective matter. It's about wich cause you think looks better. We won't be the ones looking at it every day.

Those are the only choices? :( I'd have to go with the soprano, though I dont like it much either, lol.

Out of those two, I'd say the soprano looks the best, though quality-wise this would be better. If you upped you budget a bit then this would trump both of them.

If those are the only two options. Then I'd say Thermaltake Soprano, it looks classier (Is that a word?) to me. The Apollo just looks like a cheaper construction to me. But if I may offer my two cents. I'd get one of these Lian-Li PC-7B Plus II .

yea that looks like really good build quality, but i really want a side panel on the case. that was one of my criteria:)

Unfortunately with a window the Lian-Li prices go up a bit. This is almost the same case but with a window. Lian-Li PC-60B Plus II Windowed You also could buy the other LIan-Li I posted and just do a search for Lian-Li accesories and buy the windowed panel seperate. There are a lot of Lian-Li accessories out there. Not too sure about your budget but newegg has the Lian-Li PC-V1000A Plus II window on sale for $189.99, $15 cheaper than the regular panel ones. I love mine. With the awesome air flow and cooling of the LIan-Li plus Arctic Silver it dropped my temps over 10 degress Celsius. Plus it has wheels.

it doesnt look like this guy wants the microwave look that is the LiLi. im voting for the Apollo because the soprano looks too much like the really expensive counter in the sims (the plastic wood future thing)

Microwave look? Hell I wish my microwave looked like a Lian-Li. God knows it's better than say . . . the ugly plastic of the ASUS 3600 Vento.

*NOTE* This is a joke, as Moddest Mouse is currently modding a Vento. No flames.

But in all honesty I love my Lian-Li. I've never had a case that was so easy to use or had such great air flow. My only wish is that I could rebuild my computer everyday so that I could play with all the cool stuff inside.

If one of those two the Sorpano. I just seems better designed to me, maybe i'm too much of classier design fan.

dont get me wrong, i'd kick a puppy for lili its just that this guy is not going for the sleek, smart_home look that the lian li has perfected. and i dont think they are in his price range.

also on the vento, nice one, it is an ugly plastic body, hence the modding.

ok here's a better way to put it, the Lian-Li exhibits many characterstics of a refrigerator in both its look and its temperature.

there thats a lot nicer (im still putting a timer on one and a microwave style door)

*NOTE OFF TOPIC*

LOL I'd like to see that. It would make opening the side up easier.

*BACK ON TOPIC*

hell yeh, and the window would be perfect! have the number buttons be media controls, and the time be temp. hell yeh

(that was a "hell yeh" sandwich)

Woah, Lian Li V series windows cost $189?!

Hello,
I think it's totally up to what you prefer, since in the end you'll be the one who's going to have to look at it everyday. :) Both cases come with standard cooling ( two 12cm fans ) and pack screwless installation. I think besides the fact that the Apollo is a bit cheaper, your decision is purely based on what type of design and look fits you. If you have any questions about the case, let me know at designer@nzxt.com. I check my email seven days a week so i won't be hard to find. :) Have fun building!

Too true. We all can sit here and argue over which case is better, but in the end it's up to what the OP wants to look at.

i have to go for soprano aswell, i just think that pre-moded cases are ugly and usually look kind of childish.

i own the soprano (although no plexi panel on mine) and i love it. roomy, great air flow with stock 120mm fans, and it looks great.

only negative is that i put my case in a cabinet and i don't really have a use for the "front" (top) usb/firewire ports.
