Hello all,

I have a new rig (specs in sig) an I'm looking to replace the 9500GT with a gaming card.

I'm looking for a mid-range card as I won't be doing much more than Source games. I also want to be able to run the new Star Wars Old Republic game sometime down the road. I will be running on a 1080p Asus, and I may add another 1080p in the next year or so.

I was eying down the GTS 250 @ microcenter for ~$120.

Would it be better for me to just buy one on these forums? I saw a 4850 (new) going for $105.

My budget is no more than $125, and hopefully around $100 or less. I think this is realistic as I'm playing mostly Source games.

EDIT: My PSU is a Coolmax 600W and I've never overclock'd

Any suggestions? I don't wanna have to replace my PSU, and I'll probably be adding two 36gb raptors soon...
 
With that budget and PSU you're not going to have to replace your PSU no matter what single card you choose. GTS 250 and 4850 trade blows most of the time so get whatever's cheaper. I see this as a lack of interest in DX11 as well which is understandable.
