Which card is...

Roughly, I'd say a stock 5900nU.

EDIT - Damn your speedy typing, Roost! :p

you know i was asking this because all the benchmarks before i got my 9700pro ... all benchmarks were comparing the 9700pro to a gf4 ti4600-4800 card....and not any FX series cards....i also thought the closest competition nVidia has for a 9700pro is a FX5900nu and in some benchies 9700pro surpases the FX5900ultra when FSAA and AF is turned up.....but i think most comparisons were made with a gf4 because at the time it was the best nVidia card out....at the time 9700pro was out the FX series cards didn't exist. so i guess thats why....

Yep, pretty much sums it up.

It's a tribute, really, to the staying power of the 9700 Pro. The card's out for a year and a half now and it's still delivering ~90% of the performance that the newer flagship cards bring.

Definitely one of the [H]ardest vcards ever. It was the first DX9 card out, too, was it not?

Geeze. It's like a homerun that hasn't even landed yet. :p
