I have an evga 6600gt 128 pcie and an ati x800 256meg pcie, which is better? I would like to know so I can mabey sell one of them to a freand?

Thanks, now I just got to decide if the shader 3.0 is worth more then the extra pipes the ati has?

X800 is a better card, especially at higher res and IQ. 6600GT doesn't run fast enough for SM3.0 to be a factor.

That doesn't make sense. If anything, SM3 would speed up the 6600GT not slow it down. I think you have HDR and such features confused with SM3. They are completely different. HDR requires FP16 blending not sm3.

Probably true...I'm rarely over here in the vid card section anyway :p. I don't think enough takes advantage of SM3 to make a difference (probably more in line with what I was thinking :) ). I'd say get the X800 because it is faster in virtually everything all things being considered.

Some benchmarks that have both in them...apples to apples.
