Which card is better

It's a matter of personal opinion. They're close. Too close to say "Overlcock the GT to an Ultra" when you can overclock the XT to a XT:pE also

on ebay for about 700 dollars.. or could get lucky and find one for about 600 at a retailer

in other words, its not worth it
 
I currently back the Nvidia brnads due to the amount of unofficial drivers out there that are often really sweeeeeeet. The performance increase that occured when I went from the official Nvidia drivers to the 66.72 drivers was phenomenal!
