either the audigy 2 zs for $75, or the xfi extreme music for around $90. mostly for games and movies/tv, a little music. out to half-assed creative 2.1 speakers and decent 5.1 surround headphones. thanx.

edit the audigy 4 pro is on sale for $99, but it seems that it is more an audiophile card. but i could be mistaken.

If you already had an audigy 2 or 4 I'd stay with it but if you are getting a new card now there is really no reason to not get an X-Fi. The Audigy4 pro is very similar to the Audigy2 ZS but it has upgraded DACs that are much better than the A2ZS, better than a regular X-Fi, but not quite to the level of an X-Fi Elite-Pro or an EMU 0404.
