I REALLY like Opera. I've been using it for about a month and it really is an awesome browser. I've been using FF for a long time, but I have to say that Opera really is sweet. The tab feature is superior to FF and I'm not exactly sure why, but it just feels natural to me. With that being said, I still use FF because Opera is buggy as all hell. It crashes a lot, doesn't work properly with various webpages, the WoW talent calculator being one of them as well as some forums that I visit. So I'm still using FF, but if Opera worked better, I would definitely being using that instead.

Which one are you running where it crashes a lot. I've been using it for a while now and its been stable. As far as some web pages not working right with it yea I just use ie as a backup as a bunch that don't work in opera don't work in ff well either. There are also a bunch of sites that just don't want to run at all as they don't know what opera is(the have a script to tell them what browser you are running) but you can tell opera to report that is ie which is cool for some of them.

Ive been using Opera for years. Recently though Ive had a lot of crashing, it usually only does this when... err... videos.. are trying to load on a page. I love Opera though, the mail client is awesome, and the new version of Opera handles torrent... :D

Internet explorer and Firefox. IE is better with SAP interfaces and also with PeopleAdmin. Firefox seems to screw some of those applications up.

IE blows dork, always has, probably always will...because M$ owns it. Not only does it suffer the most attacks, but Microsh!t can't seem to make an app that isn't bloatware and wants to cram every ad down your throat that exists on the web. Well FOCK dat. :p

The last time I used Safari on my last Mac, it was great. They should port it to run on Winboxen if they haven't already done so.

Opera was good while I could stand it, but as someone else has said, it wants to crash too often. So, no thanks.

Guess it's Firefox for now...

Um... IE getting owned by spyware is not Microsofts fault. And IE doesnt "blow"... its morons that write stuff to attack it that make it "blow"

The majority of intArWeb! users use IE... so... why in hell would any sane virus/spyware person write their stuff to attack Opera, FF, or Safari? The new IE hopefully will turn a few heads.

Where's the option for "many"?

On a regular basis I use IE6 (not bothering with IE7 until release), Opera 8.x, Firefox 1.5 + nightlies, and links (text-based browser).

Um...it's Microsh!t's fault b/c they don't DO anything about it in THEIR app. Duh.

Which is exactly the reason that IE should be even more attack-proofed by it's maker: b/c so many want to fock widdit. But it's not, so they do.

Duh again.

Your logic is horrible.

I guarantee you if Firefox was the browser bundled with Windows that it would have even more vulnerabilities then IE does. Microsoft hasnt exactly been sitting on their ass since they created the very first version of IE, and you are a fool if you think otherwise.

Whatever is bundled with Windows (the most widely used OS on this planet) WILL have vulnerabilities, and again... if you think otherwise you are a fool. There is no way that Microsoft, even with their almost limitless resources, can counter the hundreds of thousands (millions maybe?) of people that want to take advantage of RETARDS. Click on their banners, download their spyware, and generally create PEBKAC errors out the wazoo.

And since you probably dont realize this... Im willing to bet at least half of the users with Windows XP dont have their computers properly updated and protected. I have been fixing computers to make my living while I was in highschool and now I do it while I am in college... Ide say a good 60-70% of the people Ive come accross do not even have the FIRST update for Windows loaded. A good 50-60% dont have any type of protection like FREE stuff - AVG and Adaware. And the rest are just idiots.

People click on the banners with tits, they get spyware. People want to get rich, so they download the attachment in the email that promises fortune.

spyware + moron = infected PC

Just the simple fact that someone uses IE doesnt automatically mean they are going to get infected. Yes, it is more vulnerable, but its not the devil. If someone with a head on their shoulders instead of a pile of steaming gecko shit used IE then they would probably be fine.

Yep, and I'd say most of those don't even know they are supposed to update anything.

I'm using Opera as well. Anyone who isn't using it really should switch. I got tired of Firefox crashing all the time. It also had weird bugs that really annoyed me. Opera is great, it weighs in at a paltry 3.5 megs... but it packs a lot. I'm really impressed, I'll be using this for a long time to come.

Wow, since high school, huh? I'm impressed!

NOT.

I'll be 45 next month, and I wager that I was geeking Apple II's and 8086 machines when you were blowing snot on your momma's skirt. Get over yerself, me bwoi.

IE sux for my uses. That's the way I see it, but you're welcome to disagree. Just don't get so rabid about it that someone doesn't particularly care for many of Microsh!t's progs, because either way it's no skin off your nose, right?
