Upgrading system and want to go a little cheaper since I do it every year.

Looking at two boards that both look good. What are your thoughts? Personally I don't have experience with either brand and in the past brands that others like I don't or vice versa. Example, I don't use Gigabyte boards personally had too many problems with them but I have had great luck with ECS and good luck with FoxConn.

Possible overclocking may be done.

ASUS M2A-VM AM2 AMD 690G - http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131172
JetWay JM26GT3-SVP AM2 NVIDIA NF6100-405 - http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813153073

Any other suggestions?

It must be Micro ATX and have PCIe 16x on it. NO GIGABYTE. I'd like it to be under $60 from Newegg (excluding shipping),4 DDR2 slots would be great as well.

if you get a JetWay...you might as well just never come back on here again. :p Anyways, under $60, MicroATX...okay. PCI-E x16...okay. overclocking? gaming? what do you have now? Has your computing needs changed since the last time you upgraded? is there stuff you'd like to do, but maybe aren't doing yet? We are going to need more information.

Gaming and normal use system. MicroATX case is being used and has adequate power. Current graphics is an ATI 1900GT that I am bringing to New system for new. Current system is an ECS board with socket 754 Sempron 3300+ and 2GB ram.

Looking for just the right AM2 board to build a new system. The Jetway caught my eye but sounds like a bad idea. I've worked with Gigabyte and don't like them or PC Chips but everything else is fine.

Looking for a MATX board that will let me OC a little and planning on starting with a 4600+ cpu in it.

I have heard Biostar are good but have no experience with them, Abit, or Asus.

So gurus of motherboards, what say you? Is the Asus I listed a good one?

There is hardly a 690G MB out there that works with 4gb and Vista 64bit. I have yet to hear of any mATX board with four ram slots that works. No use in having four slots if you can only use 2gb ram, is it not?

There is a msconfig hack that makes machines with 4gb run Vista 64bit, but it is not the real thing.

MSI K9AG NEO2-Digital is the only board that I have heard working with 4GB, Gigabyte and ASUS boards do not work.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127027 It's over the $60 but it's a great board,i'm currently using one, not using the onboard graphics but i've heard pretty good things about it. Running a mild oc on mine but not because it can't handle more it's just where I stopped.

I really hope these new Nvidia chips will give AMD competition.

Are you using XP or Vista, and have you tried 4gb ram? There has been some posetive power consumption reports on riggs using these. How hot is the chipsett and the heatsink?

It has been a while since i tried ABIT. Is the integrated sound any good?

I looked at the Abit board but didn't get it because it didn't have PATA connectors on it, then ended up getting a SATA DVD anyway.

I ended up getting an Asrosk board, this one http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813157108 and think it will work out great for me.

Also picked up a QPack to use instead of my Antec Aria.

Between the 2GB DDR2800, X2 4600+, Hitachi SATA HD, and the Radeon X1900GT I already have I think I will have a good gaming system.

Thanks everyone!
