Which audio drivers?

Hey guys, I posted here a few days ago, and I wanted to know what was going on with my speakers and such.

Well, anyways, I got new 5.1 Logitech x530 speakers. They work nice and sound good in Music and in Counter Strike. My first problem was the front speaker didn't work with no drivers installed. Now I installed these Realtek drivers on my computer and they work pretty nicely.

One problem. In the game I play most, World of Warcraft the 5.1 doesn't go. Only the sub, and the front two speakers emit sound.

Some people reccomended me Nvidia drivers --- I dont know where to find them though, and I just want some drivers that will let my 5.1's work in EVERY game or program all the time.

How are the speakers connected to your computer? What kind of cables, how many of them, etc.

this is cause the audio engine in WoW is natively stereo. It doesn't support true 5.1. You have to enable some kind of matrix 5.1 effect in your sound card program. Then, you can get 5.1 out of WoW

if your speakers support it (i'm not sure if they do..) you can enable Dolby Prologic II Movie/Music and it will virtualize the stereo signal into 4.1 or 5.1..if you have some sort of software virtualization in your soundcard's control panel, you could enable it, which would force it to 4.1 or 5.1, but at the cost of sound quality (in some cases)

i'm not entirely certain if your realtek chip's drivers have that kind of setting, but you could always look.

try geting the most update software/drivers for your soundcarde
