I have the first one that you mentioned... it has worked well for me... it is internal... goes into a 5.25" drive bay.... this one rocks! :D :D :D

The first one is external, the second one is the internal. The first one was more expenisive when it was new.
 
Ok to say again, the first one is EXTERNAL.

Note it is not the Plat. edition but the Plat. Ex version. The Ex version had an external drive bay versus an internal drive bay.
