I am building a 2600K next month with ASUS P8 Mobo. Can you suggest me a good economical after mark coolar that can keep it cool enough so that if I OC it @ 4.8Ghz its life remains long. I am considering 3 options.

1) TRUE 120, TRUE Venon
2) Corsair H50
3) Corsair H70

Out of these 3 TRUE looks economical. On the other hand Corsair heat sinks are water cool, but I will consider it above TRUE only if the temprature difference is around 5-10 degree. So what is your suggestion?

Maybe: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1576710

I have an A70 on a Q6600 @ 3.3, which generates a lot more heat than SB will. The A70 does a good job, keeping it <=40C idle and <=67C under stress testing.

The coolers you list will all do better, but for the money, the A70 is my favorite cooler. I've not seen anything else that competes with it at these sorts of prices.

Many of the Asus guys are also using SIIG's Ultra Chill brush-on Diamond TIM (http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=AC-TG0412-S1), if you are trying to match their results.

For anyone interested, I'm using a Dark Knight and Arctic Silver 5. Initially I showed 38C/52C on idle/load, but then remembered that AS5 drops temp over the duration of the break in period (up to 200 hours if you do not "tint" the heatsink/CPU. I'm only 3.5 hours in and the temp has already dropped 5C... on both idle/load. At first I was bummed that I may have put too much TIM on...but I'm feeling pretty good, though I am running stock speeds right now. Will bump up to the 4.4/4.8 range after the break in period ;-)

The Hyper 212+ seems to handle Sandy Bridge just fine, and is quite cheap to boot.

That is the route I went - hard to beat for the price. No issues fitting it on a ASUS P8P67 Pro and it is easy to either add or move the fan if needed.
