Which blocks are peeps considering for their newness? I've been checking daily at aquacomp, ek, DD, koolance, etc for stock with no luck, so far.

Anyone like one block more than another?

The EK's look pretty badass this go-around, imo, and from what ive read are very solid performers. Anbody have some inside info they wanna share? :D

It usually takes at least a month or two after the cards are released for manufacturers to get the blocks out on the market. Be patient.

As for differences between them, it is mostly aesthetic. Pick the block you like the looks of best.

subscribed. im curious about the options out there. i hope my current loop can handle the extra heat...

Ek koolance and aqua all look to be similar in price, and ek claims availability next Monday. Still haven't heard anything about dd.

At the moment, I'll probably pick up 2 ek blocks when they're ready to ship.

Heatkiller, period, the end. Worth waiting for.:D

EK had major problems with their nickle plating processes, that may be resolved by now.
Koolance is meh. generally cheap construction.

Aqua makes some pretty blocks, but I've never used one so no opinion on construction.

Nickel plating issue is resolved with EK, but the bad way they treated their customers about the issue left a bad impression on many people.

Yes. to blame their poor plating process on the type of fluids their customers were using was just poor form.

Proven completely false by RealRedRaider.......but I digress.

I will not buy EK based on that episode. It was bizarre.

I have nothing but excellent results and customer service from Heatkiller.:D

I'll be getting the EK since they are going to be in stores sometime this or next week. I truly hope there nickel plating has been resolved...

Edit: koolance block is on frozen cpu but it's oos

From what i've read and heard, the nickel issue was resolved long ago. I've had nickel EK's for the last two generations from amd without an issue.

I like the aesthetics of EK personally and they are who I would use if/when I upgrade my GPUs in the future.
