Currently there is a promocode on newegg business for 15% off a bunch of stuff. It works on the 7850s. Currently I'm looking at the Sapphire OC and Gigabyte model. Both come to 220$ after the code. Thoughts on which one to get? I'm leaning more towards the Sapphire because I saw a couple of fan noise issues mentioned, but the gigabyte does have a 3 year warranty. I am planning to OC the hell out of it and it'll be a great upgrade from my poor 4870. Any other models I should be thinking of?

The Asus TOP and MSI twin forzr are out of stock unfortunately.
 
People swear by the Sapphire OC, Gigabyte Windforce, MSI Twin Frozr and Power Edition cards. Asus probably makes a good one too, but I can speak from experience that the MSI Twin Frozr is a quality card. Mine OC's to 1140/6000 at stock voltage and 1250/6000 with 1175mv and it rarely ever runs over 65c and I don't hear the fans running with the auto fan profile. The MSI Power Edition wasn't available a few weeks ago when I got my Twin Frozr but if I were buying one today, it would probably be a Power Edition, unless I got a better deal on a Twin Frozr. I doubt there's much difference between them.

Based on pricing right now on newegg I'd go with the sapphire

I got the XFX double D version because it was $250 shipped with lifetime warranty and 2 free games but it's almost $280 after shipping right now.
 
I know people have had better OCs with the ASUS DirectCU II, but the cooler on the power edition is for sure better. Only problem is PE is always out of stock...
 
Well, I ended up getting the MSI 7850 when it was in stock. Only paid about 240$ shipped for it.

It's been wonderful, I overclocked it to 1150 Core 1250 Memory real quick with a small voltage bump. It's been staying cool and quiet and handling everything I've thrown at it. Very happy with my purchase, thanks guys.

I'd go for the MSI R7850 as well. I picked up the regular version (not PE) and love it. It is very quiet and runs very cool, even under full load. Sign-up to be notified next time its in stock and pick one up immediately.

I got the XFX Double D and overclocked it to "black edition" levels. Nothing crazy (975 vs 860 Core, 1250 vs 1200 mem) but it's SILENT and the build quality is quite good. Lifetime Warranty too.
