I am pondering between the 6800 and the 6800GT, I was woundering if the GT would be worth the extra money.

P4 2.6 @ 3.5
1 GB Hyper X 2-2-2-5 5:4
ABIT AI-7
an old Nvidia since my 9800 died.

indeed it would, that's a very fast system, you'd see a noticeable difference between a 6800 and a 6800GT

well thanks everyone, just need to scrap together a little extra $. Should get it by saturday. Anyone know a nice one to get? I was looking at the one with the free Doom 3 with it. Its like 390, i think its evga or something. I'm hoping for Ultra and above speeds.

BFG, PNY, Leadtek, are all good manufacturers. I can't speak for anything else on 6800's, but most of them should be pretty close copies of the reference design. So I'd just get the best deal.

Yes GT is worth the extra $$$, you will not regret the performance increase..
