I just bought one of these to expand the number of SATA drives in my computer. I am not using it for raid, even though it has software raid included (suspect it's not very robust anyway). The problem I have is that for the drivers there is a 64 bit folder and a 32 bit folder. Under the 64 bit folder (my computer uses Windows7-64) there are two sub-folders and I am not sure which to use. Anybody know? The two sub-folders are "ext64" and "ia64" I am guessing that one is for raid and the other is for non-raid. The manual and the readme are absolutely no help.

I know this hardware is fairly specific, but surely there is someone that knows the answer to the question.

ext64 is referring to all modern 64bit extensions on amd and intel processors. That is what you want to go with.
ia64 is the itanium processor.

edit: just some more clarification, ia64 does not use the x86 or x86-64 instruction set, it is a completely different processor, and any drivers written for it will be useless to you unless you have an itanium processor.
