Apologies if this has been asked before...

Benq BL3200PT vs Acer B326HUL vs Samsung 32D850D

I appreciate the panel is identical but is there any appreciable difference between them (input lag for example).

In the UK the Benq is hovering around £499 with the other two £30 cheaper and having an additional years warranty. At the mo I'm leaning towards the Samsung...

The question - which would you buy and why?

I chosen benq because it was available first back then (and had higher warranty then acer, second available from beginning), but from reading about others it also has pros like less overshooting problems, imho better stand, from cons - not overclockable (but imho less overshooting is more important). Banding problem some complained about sounds like more related to panel common/used in all of them, and seems depending on luck on getting better exemplar.

QNIX is not an option as I will only buy from UK retailers - I can only find that panel on ebay and with import duty/tax it will be over $600!!

Personally, I'd avoid the Samsung as it's more than likely only PWM free down to 30% (we know it's not PWM free @ 15% atleast; verfication: here).

To my knowledge, the Acer B326HUL has superior color presets compared to the BenQ, but not near as many user reviews. Your best bet is really to just go with the BenQ BL3200PT; but, keep in mind that there's a vertical banding issue that plagues this particular panel, so make sure you buy from a retailer with no-hassle free returns/exchange.

Yeah I'd probably go the Benq ove the Qnix. The lowest I could pick up one of the Qnix's for was 500AU during a Ebay sale, and I'm pretty wary of buying from the Korean sellers again after a bad experience with a Samsung 590D.

Get em under 4 hundy AU and I'll consider it...but until then I think it's worth paying extra for the Benq.

The Acer suffers from severe overshoot ghosting, though it does have better colour presets than the BenQ. The Samsung and Qnix are only PWM free down to 30% brightness while the BenQ BL3200PT is the best reviewed all around option. There's also the new, untested Hp Envy 32 which should be completely PWM Free and is the cheapest aside from the Qnix, plus Envy's usually have excellent colour presets and 2 nice overdrive settings.

The Envy also has Beats branded speakers. In case you consider that a pro...

Monitor having speakers i consider as one of cons :)

+1 from me!

HP not an option as it must be height adjustable.

Looks like the Benq is the one then (stand looks better imo) so here's hoping someone slashes the price next week :D

Amazon occasionally drops the price of the BenQ to $650 or lower. But you would have to wait for that. You can use TheTracktor to receive an update as soon as the price drops.

Looks like my luck is in, Overclockers dropped their price to £469.99 just as my funds became available so the deal is done, hopefully get it on Tuesday.
