I plan to buy one of the two following cards for use in an Antec Sonata II case with some other relatively modest components (ie. no raptors or X2's).
GIGABYTE GV-RX80256D Radeon X800 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
SAPPHIRE 100107L-BL Radeon X800 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
I've heard stories about the fan on the sapphire crapping out, but also of temperatures between 80-100°C on the gigabyte without proper airflow. I don't plan to overclock, and I would appreciate the silence on the gigabyte but its not essential. Which one should win my trust? The sonata II has an air duct running over the gpu with an optional fan that I'm not sure I'll use yet. Would that be enough for the gigabyte? I'm not too experienced in case cooling/airflow-ology so any help is appreciated.
