Which 21" to buy ?

I´m in need for a couple of new silent 21" monitors, I have found four interesting
1: Samsung 214T
2: NEC 2170NX
3: Eizo S2100
4: NEC 2190UXP

any thoughts about these ? they are purely used for coding and they must be silent...

I just got an answer from Eizo Sweden regarding my question about the Eizo S2100 noise level , the answer is translated from swedish


" I have listened on a S2100 here at Eizo and it is completely silent.
A very faint "buzz" can be heard if putting ear against a 24" Wide version , this probably comes from the fact that these have another background light construction."

They all use the same panel therefore go off features looks and price...

Best 21" is NEC LCD2190UXi but costly.

Actually they don't use the same panel (NEC 2190UXi comes also in S-IPS panel version). However, NEC 2190UX is by far best of 21" models. It is pricey, but for that money you get one of the best LCD displays on the market (although if you're not into creative industry / graphics you might go with some cheaper model).

I think the NEC LCD2190UXi is overkill because i don´t do anything but textbased applications ,I´ve read at some forum that the NEC 2170NX is humming so maybe the Eizo S2100 is my best option ?
