i just bought a 17" Sony SMD-HS75P from a store that I got an instore credit card from and found out that there's also a online shop that takes the same card. So I figured I'd return the 17" and get a 19" instead for the same price. Both monitors cost $400 on the site that I'm buying from, but I just want to know which of the two is better, and to get some feedback from those of you that may happen to own either one of them. I'm kind of leaning toward the ViewSonic one because of the postive reviews it's been getting.

Keep in mind that I'm not going to be buying from newegg, i just supplied those links so you can see the specs and pics. Those are really the only two monitors I can choose from.
 
Im doing the same thing shopping for a new monitor.. one thing about the Samsung it doesnt come with the dvi out cable so you have to buy one... Im actually thinking about this monitor also so will be interested in seeing the responses to this post.
 
In the long run, Samsung's quality and reliability will surpass Viewsonic's.
