I am waitting for dell 1905fp sale for a long time, now I want to buy other brands' 19'' LCD, I searched on line and read many reviews, I find below 3 model sound good, any suggestions are welcome:

1、Samsung SyncMaster 915N

no DVI, is DVI very important? MY mobo is Asus P5GD1-VM and has no DVI output.

2、viewsonic VG910s Silver 19" LCD Monitor

I didn't see any review for this model, does anybody use this model?

3、ViewSonic VA912b

20ms reponse time, others are almost same as vg910s, panel is Active Matrix, TFT LCD.

Viewsonic VP191b, all around best 19" LCD no matter what you do with it. I'm at work so I can't link anything for you, search google for reviews. Make sure you get the 8ms one.

Thanks!

I searched on pricegrabber.com and pcworld.com, both of them rank it medium, the price is $420, compared to dell 1905fp sale price $250, this model is not so hot.

you get what you pay for. im sure the viewsonic has a much better picture than the dell.

Now I think VP191b is really good. But I still like the speakers in VG910s, anybody have any suggestions for the speakers? Do you think the speakers are loud enough for Looking DVD?

Can monitor speakers really be all that good?

And remember to get the 8ms version of the VP191b.

The model VP191b in zipzoomfly is 8ms MVA, right? But in zipzoomfly's descriptions, it is said: Type: 19" color TFT active matrix SXGA LCD

Is TFT active matrix LCD different from MVA panel LCD?

I am not sure that zipzoomfly is selling the MVA VP191b

Pretty much all modern LCD panels are active matrix, don't mind it.

I had a Dell 1905 and the colors were wash out so I sent it back (it was a shame cos I was very happy with the ergonomics).

Now i have a LG 1930B and I happy with it. Its ok for gaming, video etc.

I would like to have the viewsonic 191b @ 8ms but is a bit expensive and my LG has only 1 month.

I agree "you get what you paid for" but I don't believe the difference in price justifies the difference in quality. For the price of the viewsonic I can get two 17" TFT :p

I hope this help.

adios amigos,

L
