Where's my Overdrive?

I recently purchased the 4870 from Best Buy and it's been a long time since I last owned a Radeon card (last one I had was the 9800xt. quality card :) ) Anyway, I installed it and Age of Conan runs amazingly well. I was going through the CCC settings and I noticed that my Overdrive tab was grayed out. Is there any reason for this? Is it because I am using an nvidia chipset with an Intel processor? Or is there something else that I might be missing?
 
omg i'm a moron. I didn't notice that the little key button in that Overdrive section was clickable. lawl. I clicked it and now it's enabled. NEVERMIND ME! *whisles and slowly walks away*
 
I did the same thing, only i didnt post about it, so you only have to feel bad about the post not the button :p
 
You're not alone - most new Radeon users spend some time looking for a way to enable Overdrive - the button doesn't look like it's clickable, and there's a greyed out box below it that sais "Enable ATI overdrive"..it's a little confusing at first.
 
i think its time to pause and ponder what ur doing. do i rlly need this crappy overdrive? or will i see the light and follow the righteous path and use a proper OC tool , by which i mean AMD GPU Clock tool 0.9.8. way more options way better OCing. i dont even know why CCC has that puny OC thing.
 
I did the same thing and I do this stuff for a living.. It didn't used to be that way in the older CCC versions =[
 
I got mine for about 267 through BB (with a 12 % discount) by ordering it in store but online (since they don't have them) I could apply my 12%.

heckuva deal; should be getting it today.
