I just got a fan controller, and I got more thermal probes then I know what to do with, so I wanna attach one to get readings of temps from my video card. What would I put the thermal probe onto to get it's readings? I have a Ti4200 Visiontek, if that matters, but it should just be a "in general" question.

Thanks.

"where the sun dont shine" hehe couldnt resist, try to get teh probe under the heatsink and just to the side of the GPU

if u put it between the heatsink and vpu u could screw up your contact with your hs/fan and vpu and wil cause your card to overheat it is a bad idea the best place to put it is on the back of your vpu with dubble sided thermal tape on the back of your card you will see a square of transisters put it in the middle of that

no..under the heatsink like the 1st guy said...not on the chip.....under the heatsink..theres a little space there uaually..

probe hehe, he said probe,

:D

Too much bevis and butt head, yeah under the heat sink should just fine
