I game at 1920x1080 only - using a 40" Sony Bravia

The GTS 250, is doing the trick for now but I would really like to boost the settings and get games looking reaaaalll nice. I play Battlefield Bad Company 2 mostly right now, and Im stuck with medium settings.. which still do like nice.

I will be upgrading everything else in the near future, but for now it will be paired with an e7200 OC'd.

How would SLI 250s stack up to say a gtx 460? Or if possible, could I run a 460 with the 250 for Physx?

yes you can run a 460 and use the 250 for physx imo that would be your best option unles u want a more powerful card

at your resolution the HD5850 or gtx 460 would be the best options.. anything else would just be overkill and not worth the electricity use(470/480)..

but the downside is that your cpu is going to bottleneck you even more in BC2..

the best performance for the price would probably be an extra gts 250 for like $80 used. but then again, is it worth the hassle when you can get a gtx 260 for like $100.

if you want all the new features, the best performance for the price would be 460 768mb for 180. ignore the ram snobs, it is enough

I went for a MSI GTX 460 768mb. As well, I decided to get an Asus Crosshair, Phenom 1090T, 8gb o' RAM, and a new power supply.

Its 4 x2gb sticks of OCZ Platinum.

I bought the mobo, cpu, and ram as a combo for 560$ shipped in the FS/T
