I need a piece of... something that's 0.78mm thick, with +/- 0.05mm precision. Doesn't matter what, plastic, metal.. anything goes. I need this to make a shim for my CPU. Thanks!

You can usually find this under "precision shim stock" ...There are a variety of places to get it....I would try mcmaster.com 1st. MSCdirect.com seems to have a large stock of materials/hardware as well....

if you use a ferrous metal.......something magnetic.....just cut it out and get the thickness close......if you aren't over 1mm send it to me and I'll take it down on a surface grinder
