I have an old laptop with an old Matshita UJDA720 dvd/cdrw. It will read other dvds (at least a few that I tried), but it won't read the copy of Microsoft Streets and Trips 2013 that I'm trying to install. The laptop has Windows XP.

I'm trying to update/reinstall the dvd driver, but I can't find it anywhere online. There are various websites which say that they have dvd drivers, all of which attempt to install dodgy looking .exe files.

What do you mean it wont read those DVDs? As in it wont auto open them? Can you browse them? Sounds like you're trying to install software that doesn't support Windows XP. This is 2014. Update to W7.

Copy the contents of the DVD to a thumb drive on another PC and try to install it.
