Hey all - I'm looking for an under-the-desk cable tray, but I can't seem to find them anywhere besides places that sell massive lengths of them for building construction. I'm just looking for a ~2-4ft segment. Those of you that have them, where did you get them, and how much should I be looking at spending?

Thanks in advance for your help.

EDIT: I spent most of my lunch break researching - I looked at Newegg and Google Shopping for the terms "cable tray," "cable basket," "wire tray," and "wire basket" to no avail.

Telect CableLinks work great - I love these.

Part Number: 027-0000-4200

That is the NEW ones - you probably cannot buy them from Telect, but the cool thing is there is a Secondary Market (sometimes referred to as the Grey Market) for used telecom gear that has been torn out or decomissioned from telecom offices. I used to be an installer so I had some of this left over from those days and I use it as cable management for under my desk and vertical on my equipment rack (see my thread under Case Modding - Frank 2011 Upgrade).

Search google for:
Central Office Installation - these kinds of companies may be able to help
Central Office Dealers
Central Office Resellers
Wireline Refurbished Equipment

These companies could have a ton of this in excess they normally would throw out - but you may be able to pick it up cheap. If the companies below do have some - ask if they have some used for cheaper, they may be trying to sell you new or new/unused. Keep in mind, these companies LIVE by part number, so make sure you know what you are looking for. The 2" is what I would suggest and the part number is 027-0000-4200. The 2" handles all my cables and I have a ton.

I just did a quick search to find some resellers that may have them, here are some links - good luck:

Yellow may not be your thing - wasn't mine either - so a can or two of spray paint and you are good to go.

Hey everyone - I've been busy lately and involved with research on another upgrade, but I'm going to start looking into these options more. You've given me a lot to think about.

Just wanted to take the time to say thanks. :)
