Common with Linux OS's, figured there's one for Windows?

Seems like a good way to test before committing. Does Msoft not provide one somewhere on their site?

What's wrong with creating a 20 GB partition for an install? It's not like back in the XP/2000 days where using the built-in disk partitioning software would blow up an existing partition.

Get VirtualBox and install Windows 7 in a virtual machine. That's the best way to test it without affecting your existing computers. Just don't activate the Windows installation or punch in your serial key (since you're just testing).

Yup, I was about to suggest the same thing, with VirtualBox.
