Where to find 6870 reference card?

[Flash69]

I am trying to find a 6870 reference card. I ordered 2 cards which were supposed to be reference cards and neither of them are. I am not a happy person right now. I don't want to spend $350 on a 69xx card because I don't game however I do video editing and the 6870 is more than enough.

I am looking for only a 6870 reference card. I would prefer a brand with lifetime warranty (which is why I ordered XFX first) however at this point I might not have a choice.

Can ANYONE please help me find a reference version of the 6870? I am looking for the version with 2 DVI, 2 mini displayport and 1 HDMI port.

Thank you

You can recognize the reference cards from the AMD logo on the PCB.
For example here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103196

Unfortunately some vendors seem to replace reference models with their own ones without notice.

Yes, that is what I am finding out!

Someone has to still be selling the reference version. Anyone? I am wondering if I should call resellers and see if they have them.

How much will you pay for both of my XFX 6870s?

(Not my pic)

Technically on those cards it's just the cooler that's reference, not the whole card IIRC. For it to be truly reference, the fan grille at the back needs to be standard, and not an XFX logo. Good luck finding one of those though

Well as far as my needs, I just need a reference design so I can use a standard full card waterblock.

You could contact the waterblock manufacturer and ask for compatible cards which are on sale.
