im tryin to find a good video card, x800 pro/xt or 6800gt/ultra, but i cant find a site that will accept a checking account instead of credit card, does anyone know of any good sites that can be trusted? thanx..
 
paying by checking account is not a good idea - less protection than a credit card - you can get a visa/master card debit card attached to your banking account - just make sure you use trustworthy places of business - see if your bank will do one use numbers for online use of the debit card. (I believe visa will do same - dunno if its for credit cards only or if debit cards can too.)
If not then use the card once - then request a new card - reporting the purchase you did online as the last valid purchase. Should not be any fee to replace the card.
 
well im waiting on a debit card now, but itll take 2 weeks
was hoping to order a new vid card before then, but my only options are checking account and paypal, but not many sites use paypal either;most require that cv2 or whatever number
 
as a general rule, video card prices fall - so waiting a mere two weeks could benefit your wallet. (besides by that time, the Doom]|[ issue of who has the best card to play will be fully decided {if not already} and the next issue will be upon us. - And most every store will have the winning series of vid cards in stock by then...)

I'd like to get a 6800. It looks to be about 5 times faster than my old 4600. I'm kind of wondering if Abit will release anymore Nvidia cards. Also thinking of just waiting for PCI-X, just get into a new system. Maybe go watercooled.
