Does anyone know a site that still has some of these in stock? I have found a few and i have found one that i think i'll order from but i wanted to check and see if anyone knows a site that has this monitor still in stock for around $300 or so.

Just in case you didn't know I think this is the same monitor as the DP930SB so you may want to price that as well.

I think the NEC FP912 has been discontinued, so not many retailers stock it anymore.

However, jskagg is right, the Mitsubishi DP930 is the exact same monitor as the NEC FP912 (NEC-Mitsubishi makes the monitors and they all use Mitsubishi tubes). The DP930 is in ample supply and I've found it for around $300 on many sites (like Techonweb.com).

Yea i've seen the Mitsubishi DP930 even on Newegg. I'll get it if all else fails but i would like to get the NEC one just because i want the NEC emblem on the front :p hehe.

I've decided to go ahead and go with the DP930SB.

Where is the best place to order it from? Newegg? Or is there another place thats cheaper and better? Its $37 shipping at Newegg.

http://www.pricegrabber.com/ and I punch in DP930.

Newegg's pretty middle of the road because the $40 shipping makes it around $320, which seems to be the normal going price for this thing after shipping.

Though www.securemart.com has it for $300 because of free shipping.

However, Securemart only has 9 ratings ever on resellerratings.com, which is not really enough for me to say how good it is since I haven't dealt with them.

Are you getting this for a dual monitor setup? or just to get a good monitor?

I would look into the NEC FE990. Will save you about $100 and it's just as good, if not better.

edit: omfg, i was just looking at getting another one for dual FE990's last week and it was $180 :(

The other models dont have a very high refresh rate for high resolutions. I want to be able to run 1600x1200 and still get at least 85Hz. With the FE990 its like 76Hz or less.

try Monitors Direct -- been recommended to me many times, supposedly good return policy and service, good resseller ratings.

I was going to go ahead and order from MonitorsDirect because of their excellent return policy but since i'm ordering some other stuff from Newegg and the price shipped is a little cheaper at Newegg i decided to just stick with them. The chance of me wanting to return a CRT isn't very high unless its DOA or something because i dont want to pay the $50 to ship it back for replacement.

I wonder why NEC discontinued the FP912SB to start with. As popular as it is you would think they would keep making them till they had a replacement. The DP930SB isn't really a replacement because its the same monitor. I just dont get why some manufacturers do the things that they do.

I always thought it was because the DP930 was more expensive and consumers caught on to the fact that they're the same monitors, so they dropped the FP912 to sell the more expensive DP930.

Although now, the DP930 is around the same price as the FP912 was, so whatever. But yes, I like the NEC branding more than Mitsu's.

$300.19, free shipping. People seem to overlook Amazon for monitors, but they have great prices and usually free shipping. I just bought a FP2141SB. http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B00006IS9L/

O well, too late now :). It would of only saved me $22 and it would of took longer to ship. It will be here from Newegg this friday.

Usually ships within 1 to 2 weeks

Ack! I'm glad you have more patience then i do :p.

Select Super Saver Shipping as your shipping speed. Note that order will take an additional 3 to 5 days to ship.

1-2 weeks plus 3-5 days plus the time it takes for them to get it to you after it officially ships means you'll probably have in your hot little hands in a month or so hehe.

I'm going on vacation for two weeks so I don't mind the long shipping time :)

I received my DP930SB from Newegg friday. Its pretty nice. It doesn't look HUGE compared to my 17" HP monitor but it is bigger. If nothing else i'll be able to get much higher refresh rates at higher resolutions.

The two little aperture grille lines are somewhat annoying at first. I didn't notice them for a while because i hadn't thought to look for them but then i did see them and they are small and minute compared to what i had imagined them to look like. Their still a slight annoyance though because you can see the top one plainly on the default windows xp wallpaper. Their definitely not enough reason to not want to buy this monitor though because its probably the best 19" CRT out there and you can barely see these two hairlines.

Anyone else have this monitor and have anything to say about it?

Just wanted to comment on the visible SIZE of the monitor- be happy that it looks small. The P95f+ I'm using has a HUGE bezel, which I find detracting- I like the thin bezels NEC/Mitsu have been putting out.
