Right now, the AMD cards would be better utilized on a BOINC project or RC5-72. if you were able to get it to work with F@H, the points would be pathetic as the client isn't optimized properly and you'd be stealing too many CPU cycles from the SMP client.

for now its not worth it. the PPD output is garbage due to F@H still using the old brook++ GPGPU. we should see an openCL client here in the next 2-3 months hopefully which will solve all those issues.
oh yeah forgot if you want to monitor your client/PPD use HFM.net.

tobit i still think the method i posted is better unless your running gpu's which then the gpu tracker is worth using with the smp client as well. its just to bloated to be used for SMP only.

I agree, just wanted to give both options to him.

anybody working on guides? We really need a sticky for this!
I'll try to get back to work on the new [H]orde Central post I had started a few weeks ago, sorry for slacking. I have plenty of time on my hands to do it just been feeling a little down.

we had a sticky then some one removed all the stickies. i was working on updating all the guides(except zero's awesome guide) then when they removed the stickies i just quit caring about it since there was no point anymore. not going to spend hours going through pages to find which guides needed to be updated if some ones just going to remove stickies on the guides for absolutely no reason. so they can do the guides themselves if they want.

What can i do about the single core fold i started while looking for info. i think it was about 3% done.
will some pick it up in the next 6 days?

can i make the tracker pick up the work unit?

if its the system trey client (eg has the icon in your task menu bar on the bottom right) right click it and click pause when complete. otherwise if your using the console client. just close it create a shortcut and go to properties add -oneunit at the end of the target part. start it again it will finish the WU and you can close it and delete the client after its finished.

leaving it running will take points away from your SMP client but at least the WU will get finished and returned.

I am not to worried about points just yet I don't even have a user name
33 is the only info i need :)

SMP ppd is still yellow but the gpu's are at 7,425 ppd. is this decent? I know top 10 is like 170k+. Trying to get a frame of reference

you need a user name and a passkey to get the bonus points for the smp client.

both cards combined is 7,425 PPD or each one? if its each then holy crap those cards are going to be beasts when the openCL client is released.

no sorry thats the combined total.
SMP process shows 0 % complete while the gpus have completed 1 WU already.
I clicked the -bigadv radio button. I suppose that could be slowing it down but I am not sure.
