• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Where is delete?

That would be because we don't have delete. You can alter the title and the contents of the thread, but not close or delete. The moderator can delete the thread for you if you are the only poster, close it or move it off the forum for you.

Kind of confusing when you first join here to see "edit/delete" then.

Some threads, you can't even edit your own posts. Wonder what the reason could be ... must be one.

This forum is built on a vBull template which is universal, the feature is used in some forums and by several levels of members, so it is present.

Same goes here, it's selective in it's usage.

Can you tell us why you chose not to allow users to delete their posts? Not to sound rude, because I'm not trying to, but is it because you just want to keep a lot of of posts up?

Early on all the bells and whistles were turned on for the use of all members. As they were abused, they were disabled one by one. What we have is a system that works without abuse since the moderators and admins control the threads after they are posted. Good question, not rude at all, but we have the years of experience with abuse to back up the controls and found that this works best on a forum of this size.

Abuse on here, Id have never thunk it. :D Glad to see we are back up how long was it down?

to follow up on his question, is it possible for you to edit the picture to just read edit since the mods already know they can delete posts? I dont care, but newbies might.

Could you be a bit more cryptic, I can almost understand what you mean :D

....too many 'you' , 'they', 'mods', and 'n00bs' used in different usages to make much sense...

He means make the edit/delete button just say edit

It's a universal template, I'm sure it could be scripted out, but moderators and admin use that as a tool. Not worth the exercise.
