I want to learn about shutter speeds, ISO settings etc and would like your suggestions.

I have always been an Automatic "Point and Click" guy. I have a new Canon Elph SD400 that allows me to change some settings if I like and I have no idea what I am doing.

Got any suggestions on some good websites to learn this stuff?

Ideally I plan on taking pics of:

Sunrises
Sunsets
Cloud Formations and the night sky with this camera.

I realize this may not be the best camera for that but at least I can practice wtih this and learn some before I make my next purchase.

Thanks!

things like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO apply to every camera- they are the fundamental variables that determine how an image is exposed.

I recommend reading the tutorials on www.photo.net , checking out www.genmay.com (we have a very active photography forum) or www.fredmiranda.com (one of the largest photo forums on the net)

otherwise, go to the library, and grab a book, or take a class at your local community college.
