can any of yall help me out in finding a good 5 to 6 inch LCD screen for under 110 or 120

OK i need a 5 to 6 inch LCD w/ a yellow S video plug and a red and black wire for power coming out of it.......every 1 i find is outta stock or the website doesnt sell, it just advertises it, i WOULD REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE IT

No controller in the first one, so the price can deceive the unwary eye.

what exactly does a controller do for a lcd i know its not like a tv remote so.... also 11.00 come on now shipping must be 80 bucks ....no LCD is 11 or 18 bucks

oh i dont know if i mentioned it or not but ill be usin this as another monitor or to run like winamp on or whatever so it needs to be able to do that stuff. Like the ps1 lcd mod

In the simplest terms, it is an adapter that converts the proprietary input to an industry standard interface.

For a typical video LCD, it will use a complex TTL or LVDS based parallel bus designed specifically for the needs of the LCD. What a controller does is make that interface more universal by letting you plug in composite, S-video, VGA, etc. The controller handles the translation work.

Eleven bucks for a controllerless LCD is easily possible. That's because the LCD won't be ready out of the box unless 1) you have something like a microprocessor or microcontroller that plugs straight into it, or 2) you have a controller for that specific LCD. Neither situation is very applicable to the average person, so the LCD is pretty worthless to most people. Low demand, high supply--low price.

ohhhhhhhhhh................... could you help me in finding one that i could use straight outta the box like this one see it has a video plug and a 12v cord (NO problem what so ever in gettin that into a molex) simple and easy to hook up....could i have some assistance in finding one like this .....i found tthat one but it is discontinued

The Legacy LM56 I linked to is ready to go. You just need to rewire the 12 volt input so that it plugs into a "Molex" style conntector. As I understand, it just use a composite (yellow RCA) input, so you won't need to modify anything there.

looks like a good LCD but how good is that website on shipping cause i dont trust to many sites really none except newegg and frozencpu only cause there big and that ."good guy" site doesnt sound to trustable.....and looks kinda home made
