Where are the audio controls

I'm getting static on my headphones. Back in XP i fixed this by going to the audio panel and start muting the ones i don't use. It's usually something like the mixer, linein, or the CD.

In Windows 7, all i see is the mic and linein. Where's the rest?

I'm using realtek onboard audio and the volume controls in XP fills up the whole screen.

nvm. i just tinkered with whatever i could find and it fixed itself somehow.

Right click on the speaker icon in the task bar, all your options are there.

Already did, even activated the hidden devices on the sound panel. Nothing worked. It wasn't until i just started randomly dragging bars and clicking icons that it got fixed.
